eMediaVA’s goal is to make teaching and learning with digital media easy, engaging, and relevant. To ensure we continue to meet this goal, we surveyed hundreds of Virginia educators and identified a number of ways we could improve your experience using eMediaVA.

We’ve spent the past year redesigning eMediaVA and are excited to announce the following new features to eMediaVA:

• Same Great Resources, Fresh New Look. Our key features, content, and resources aren’t going anywhere, but you’ll find a redesigned eMediaVA when you visit the site after June 13th. The homepage will feature new and popular collections created by the eMediaVA team, as well as engaging resources organized by content and grade level. We’ve also added a “What’s Trending” section to amplify the most popular resources in eMediaVA for the week.
• Find Resources Faster. We’ve added an advanced search engine to eMediaVA to help you find what you’re looking for more quickly. A new collections page will also make it easier than ever to find and share ready-made collections with students and parents. Check out our tutorial on searching and filtering in eMediaVA.
• Create Your Own Collections. Teachers can now create their own collections of eMediaVA resources and share them with students, colleagues, and parents with the click of a button. Collections make it easy to save resources and also to create personalized learning experiences for your students. No more publishing playlists that require a login. For more information on creating and sharing your own collections, see our tutorial.
• Connect with eMediaVA Educators from Across Virginia. The new eMediaVA blog highlights eMediaVA news and announcements, as well as advice on using eMediaVA content in your classroom. Innovative educators from around the Commonwealth will share how they’re using eMediaVA with students and also discuss education trends and tools.
